One of the most important things we can thank God for this week is the gift of life — the life He gave
each one of us, and the ability to advocate for a culture of life in our society. We can also thank Him
for giving our pastor, Dr. Rod Parsley, the vision for The Women's Clinic of Columbus, a place where
women can find alternatives to abortion and help for raising their children a short distance from both
of Franklin County's two remaining abortion clinics.
EDUCATION
Psalm 139
“O LORD, You have searched me
and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I get up;
You understand my thought from far off.
You search my path and my lying down
and are aware of all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
but behold, O LORD, You know it fully.
You put Yourself behind and before me,
and keep Your hand on me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is lofty, and I cannot fathom it.
Where shall I go from Your spirit,
or where shall I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell at the end of the sea,
even there Your hand shall guide me,
and Your right hand shall take hold of me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light shall be as night about me,”
even the darkness is not dark to You,
but the night shines as the day,
for the darkness is like light to You.
You brought my inner parts into being;
You wove me in my mother's womb.
I will praise you, for You made me with fear and wonder;
marvelous are Your works,
and You know me completely.
My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in secret,
and intricately put together in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw me unformed,
yet in Your book
all my days were written,
before any of them came into being.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them,
they are more in number than the sand;
when I awake,
I am still with You.
If only You would slay the wicked, O God!
O violent men, depart from me.
For they speak against You with malice,
and Your enemies take your
name in vain.
Do I not hate those, O LORD, who hate You?
And do I not abhor those who rise up against You?
I hate them with perfect hatred;
I count them my enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
try me, and know my concerns,
and see if there is any rebellious way in me,
and lead me in the ancient way
” (MEV).
APPLICATION
- God birthed the vision for The Women's Clinic (TWC) of Columbus in our pastor around 10 years ago.
Since then the clinic is responsible from saving 5,000 babies from abortion — either the Planned
Parenthood facility across the street from the clinic or the Founders' clinic just four miles away.
- The abortion industry derides clinics like TWC as being interested only in the birth of babies.
But TWC cares for mothers and fathers as well, as evidenced by a new education wing opened this year,
which hosts classes for mothers and fathers to help them get a good start with their new families.
- The abortion industry proclaims that it is all about “choice” and “health care,” but Carol Everett
revealed that it's really about abortion and maximizing the clinic owners' profits.
- The abortion industry engages children as young as their year in kindergarten to normalize sex
outside marriage and stigmatize biblical morality and abstinence, because they want those children to
become teenagers who get abortions.
- TWC to save not just lives, but also lifetimes, from being sacrificed to the abortion industry. The
babies saved at TWC will get to go to sports practices, music and dance recitals, proms and graduations.
Some will marry and have children of their own.
- It's an incredible legacy we have the opportunity to support with our prayers and our finances.
IMPARTATION
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your gift of life, and the passion You have given me to share it with others. Give me a thirst
for righteousness and an unquenchable urge to uphold efforts like The Women's Clinic of Columbus, which impacts
lives and lifetimes every single day its doors are open.
Anoint me with a passion to do what is right in Your eyes and oppose the forces of darkness in our city and culture.
Make me an instrument of Your peace. Cause me to love what You love and oppose what You oppose. Order my steps to
be a true Christian citizen of my neighborhood, city, state and nation.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ — Jehovah Joshua Messiah — I pray.
Amen!
