Being Pure
You say to God, "My beliefs are flawless and I am pure in your sight."
- Job 11:4
An epidemic is devastating our nation. In the 40 years I’ve been a pastor, I’ve
seen how pornography can destroy lives.
One man tried repeatedly to break free from its grasp. In desperation, he threw
his magazines into the cold water of a nearby creek, but days later, the power
of his lustful addiction was so strong that he found himself with a hammer,
chiseling through the frozen ice to retrieve the addicting images.
Unlike drugs or alcohol, where a person can stop ingesting the substance and
become free, once the vile images of pornography are introduced into the mind,
they cannot be erased without God’s grace.
The time has come to make your voice heard! Christians aren’t simply being
exposed to pornography right now—they are becoming addicted to it! We must
stop this epidemic and rescue another family or lost soul.
God calls us to be pure in mind and heart and we must stand against the
temptations of the world (see Titus 1:15).
By standing up and refusing temptation, we can stay free and help to set others
free.
