The presence in the Holy of Holies
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
- Psalms 23:4
In the holy of holies, you can’t see and don’t have a word to light your way—but
you don’t care because you’ve got the presence of the Lord with you.
You have moved from a place of praise into an area of intimacy and worship: “You
will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right
hand” (Psalms 16:11).
It doesn’t matter if you are going through the flood or the fire, because you
know God is with you. As long as you feel His arms around you, everything’s
all right.
Here, you come before the mercy seat of heaven—the deepest level of
intercession. You have a full audience with Jesus.
The Bible says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the
shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, My
God, in whom I trust!’” (Psalms 91:1-3, 7).
When you are in the presence of the Lord, you have nothing to fear. The power of
the presence of God will take away all despair and doubt as you fellowship
with Him!
