09/19/2017 — The Church and all its members do nothing more important than to reach The One — someone within our circles of influence who is far from God — for the Kingdom! All other priorities fade in comparison to what we are called to do. If we say that we “Love God, Love People,” but do not prioritize winning souls for Jesus, we're not obeying His commands. We must be the Church for others!

EDUCATION

Luke 15:1–7
“Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, 'This man receives sinners and eats with them.' “So he told them this parable: 'What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety–nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.” Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety–nine righteous persons who need no repentance'” (MEV).

Matthew 11:27–30
“All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (MEV).

APPLICATION

• Jesus told us that one sheep was of infinite value to a shepherd — the shepherd would secure 99 sheep and look everywhere for the one that was lost. In the same way, we must be passionate and relentless about reaching The One — the friend, family member, neighbor or co–worker we have the ability to reach for Jesus.
• Our efforts to reach the lost will be a spiritual battle! The good news is that we were built for that battle, created for the conflict and equipped to engage the enemy of our soul for the right to add one more person to the Kingdom of God on Earth.
• It's important to remember that each of us was The One to someone else at one time in our spiritual journey. Without someone else's commitment to souls, we would not be bound for heaven! We can never repay that act of obedience, but we can be the shepherd for another lost sheep to return to the family of God.
• The United States has more lost people than any nation in the world other than China, India and Indonesia. We don't have to travel to the mission field — it's all around us! And God calls each of us to pursue The One.

ACTION STEP

Pray for and ask at least ONE person this week to come to church with you this coming Sunday.

And continue to join the WHC family in reading and praying through Psalm 100 twice each day.

IMPARTATION

Heavenly Father,

I am overwhelmed with gratitude that You have chosen me as part of Your plan for winning the world for Your Kingdom. I cannot minister to everyone, but You have given me the necessary skills and positioned me to win The One for Your Kingdom. What an incredible privilege!

Order my steps so I can meet people I meet where they are, befriend them and offer them a relationship with Your Son, my Savior, Jesus Christ, so they can become part of Your Kingdom and my spiritual family. I am in awe of this responsibility, and I ask for Your grace to accomplish it well!

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ — Jehovah Joshua Messiah — I pray. Amen!
