God is anxious to do a new thing in your life. He will start by meeting your greatest need and continue by giving you what you desire most.
God intentionally operates in seasons. We are about to enter into a new season, as individuals and as a congregation. Are you ready for God to do a new thing in you?
EDUCATION
John 2:1-11
“On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there. Both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, ‘They have no wine.’
"Jesus said to her, 'Woman, what does this have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.'
"His mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.’ “Six water pots made of stone were sitting there, used for ceremonial cleansing by the Jews, containing twenty to thirty gallons each.
"Jesus said to them, 'Fill the water pots with water.' And they filled them up to the brim. Then He said to them, 'Now draw some out, and take it to the master of the feast.' "And they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water that had been turned into wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who drew the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom, and he said to him, ‘Every man serves the good wine first, and after men have drunk freely, then the poor wine is served. But you have kept the good wine until now.’ “This, the first of His signs, Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and He revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him” (MEV).
Isaiah 43:19-21
“See, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not be aware of it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honor Me, the jackals and the owls, because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen ones. This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise” (MEV).
APPLICATION
- In Jesus’s time, His detractors had no issue with Him healing people, but were aghast that He would presume to forgive others’ sins. Today, it’s the opposite: we expect the Church to forgive sins, but many mock the idea that God still heals. The problem with this is that God has always been able to forgive sins and heal!
- God permanently exists in the present tense. The problem with many believers is we allow the adversary of our souls to use our pasts to contaminate our present and cancel our futures!
- But this is a season where things are breaking in your favor. There’s a shifting in your direction, and it is activated when you praise God! No matter what your situation, He is for you and actively working for your benefit.
- God’s going to put something in you that’s never been released in the earth before! Praise Him for all He's done and for all He's about to do in you, to you and through you!
