God is absolutely committed to meeting His children’s needs! It is not His will that any of His sons and daughters experience lack. So He blesses us, and that gives us the opportunity to be a blessing to others – both directly and through giving to advance the Kingdom and have the Gospel preached in every nation. In this Resurrection Seed season, we are praying and fasting and gathering our seed so we can both demonstrate God’s goodness to us and share that goodness with others. That’s how we love God and love people at World Harvest Church!
EDUCATION
Philippians 4:10–20
“I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last you have revived your concern for me. Regarding this, you did care, but you lacked opportunity. I do not speak because I have need, for I have learned in whatever state I am to be content. I know both how to face humble circumstances and how to have abundance. Everywhere and in all things I have learned the secret, both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens me.
“Nevertheless you did well having shared in my affliction. Now you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you alone. Even in Thessalonica, you sent aid once and again for my necessity, not because I desired a gift, but I desire fruit that accumulates to your account. But I have everything and abound. I have been filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, like a sweet fragrance, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. But my God shall supply your every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
“Now to God and our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen” (MEV).
APPLICATION
- Poverty is a curse, but as a child of God you are not cursed. If you have a bed to sleep in, more than one pair of shoes to wear and food in your refrigerator, you are in the upper 12 percent of wealthy people in this world.
- Unfortunately, we compare ourselves to others and convince ourselves we are impoverished. And, too many of us don't want to talk about money, even though Jesus talked about it often.
- God takes pleasure at the prosperity of His people! The Bible's original language suggest that means He gets off His throne and dances at the thought of His people having more than enough to meet their needs. And because He provides more than enough, faithful believers have the opportunity to sow into the Kingdom.
- This Resurrection Seed season, sow in joy because He has met your needs with enough in excess to help others and finance the preaching of the Gospel in our home communities, across the nation and around the world!
IMPARTATION
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your love for Your children! Your Word declares that it gives You pleasure to see that my needs are met, and I do not take it for granted! I live in what most people in this world would consider great wealth because of Your provision, and I am grateful beyond measure!
Order my steps that I would most effectively share Your blessings over my life with others. Show me where my seed for our upcoming Resurrection Seed offering is. I give joyfully back to You out of my abundance – abundance You have provided. And I trust You to use my seed to meet the needs of others. Thank You for all You are doing in my life!
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ – Jehovah Joshua Messiah – I pray. Amen!
