02/21/2017 — Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. But He’s also at work in your life now — in the middle!

EDUCATION

1 John 4:15–18
"Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him, and he in God. And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.
"God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way God’s love is perfected in us, so that we may have boldness on the Day of Judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Whoever fears is not perfect in love" (MEV).

Mark 11:22–26
"Jesus answered them, ’Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be removed and be thrown into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them. And when you stand praying, forgive if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your sins. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your sins’” (MEV).

APPLICATION

• God is the Author and Worker of healing in our lives. And often He works according to a timeline we would not have chosen. If we got everything we wanted from Him in exactly the way we wanted it, we wouldn’t appreciate our blessings.
• The wait is worth it, because He is still at work in the meantime.
• Christians know who they are in Him, and where they are going to spend eternity. It’s the in—between — the middle — that’s the problem for most of us. When we love God and love people, we are going to make it through the middle!
• If you call something by its name, you give it respect. So don’t! Whatever your mountain is, just call it "mountain." Believe in your heart that you shall have what you believe. What’s the devil going to do with someone who doesn’t have it yet, but knows that it’s on its way?

IMPARTATION

I trust that You are fighting for my good at every stage of my life — at the beginning, at the end and in the middle! I may not always understand Your ways, but I will trust that Your Word and Your promises are true!
Lord, You know my needs, and how to best glorify Yourself in meeting those needs. I thank You that I am part of Your perfect plan, and that my enemies are mere distractions. I’m going to make it, through You and because of You!
