01/05/2018 —
The course of this ministry for 2018 will continue the path begun this year, when Pastor Parsley released a vision for the next decade of his life. We're determined to finish the great initiatives begun last year in the areas of church planting, missions, evangelism and discipleship!
Believers attached to this ministry are strongly encouraged to consecrate themselves for the first 21 days of the new year, and to praise their way through the attacks of the enemy. Praise paralyzes the assignments set against you - use the weapon of praise against those who would prevent you from achieving what God has meant for you to accomplish!
EDUCATION
2 Corinthians 8:8–12
“I say this not as a command, but to prove through the authenticity of others, the sincerity also of your love. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that through His poverty you might be rich.
“And in this matter I give my advice. It is appropriate for you, who began last year not only to give, but also to willingly give. Now therefore complete the task, so that, as there was a willingness to do so, there may be a performance of it according to your means. For if there is a willing mind first, the gift is accepted according to what a man possesses and not according to what he does not possess.” (MEV).
Daniel 6:1–6
“It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty officials, so that they would be over the whole kingdom, and over them three presidents, of whom Daniel was first, so that the officials might give accounts to them and the king not suffer loss. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and officials because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and officials sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom, but they could find no occasion or fault because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then these men said, “We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”
“Then these presidents and officials assembled together to the king, and said to him: ‘King Darius, live forever! All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the officials, the counselors, and the captains have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, save of you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, that it not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which may not be altered.’ Therefore King Darius signed the writing, even the decree.
“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house. And his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he had been doing previously. Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. Then they came near and spoke before the king concerning the king’s decree: ‘Have you not signed a decree, that every man who asks a petition of any god or man within thirty days, save of you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?’
“The king answered and said, ‘The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which may not be altered.’
“Then they answered and said before the king, ‘That Daniel, who is of the sons of the captivity of Judah, does not regard you, O king, or the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.’ Then the king, when he heard these words, was sorely displeased with himself and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him. And he labored until sunset to deliver him.
“Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”
“Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spoke and said to Daniel, ‘Your God whom you serve continually, He will deliver you’ (MEV).
Daniel 10:1–3
“In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar, and the message was true and one of great conflict. And he understood the message and had understanding of the vision.
“In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no tasty food, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all until three whole weeks were fulfilled.” (MEV).
APPLICATION
- Our focus in 2018 needs to be to finish what was begun in 2017. Your heart to serve the Kingdom is in the right place — so don’t be distracted to complete the work He has begun in you.
- Expect that the anointing you carry in your life, your relationships and your employment is going to stir jealousy in those around you. Expect attacks against what is anointed in your life and use the weapon of praise to resist those attacks.
- In his later years Daniel came under opposition from those who were jealous of him and his relationship with God. They convinced King Darius to sign a law that affected only Daniel, and forced the king to have Daniel thrown into the lions’ den. That kept Darius up all night with worry, but Daniel slept peacefully through the night in the company of lions.
- God could have kept Daniel from the lions, but chose to deliver Daniel in the lions’ den. And while He may deliver you from having to face difficult situations this year, more often He’ll allow you to defeat them rather than avoid them. Praise Him that what once cursed you will bless you in 2018!
IMPARTATION
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending bringing me into another year, and keeping me from harm at the hands of my enemies. Thank You for blessing me with health, salvation, deliverance from addictions and all that accrues to those who praise Your name. Your praise will be on my lips continually in the new year.
Order my steps today, that I may consecrate myself in You as I begin a new year. Cause me to focus on my relationship with You above all other concerns, so I may represent You effectively in the places where You have given me influence.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ — Jehovah Joshua Messiah — I pray. Amen!
