12/05/2017 — God invites us to ask Him for both what we need and what we want. And His promises to us are Yes and Amen. So all that we dare to ask Him in faith, we shall receive!

What do you need to receive from God today? Come boldly before His throne and ask for it, because He delights in giving good things to His children.

Matthew 7:7–12
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

“What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, everything you would like men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets” (MEV).

APPLICATION

• The Bible says that where two or three are gathered together in God's name, believing for the same thing, He is there in the midst of them. God also gives us the freedom to choose Him or reject Him. His promises to each of us are “Yes” and “Amen,” meaning “So be it.”
• God is a Savior, a Healer, a Provider and a Protector. He provides salvation, healing, provision and protection to all who call out to Him for those things. Our problem is, we've listened to people who believe God doesn't always provide what His Word says, unequivocally, that He does provide.
• When we ask God to do something “If it be Your will,” we show a lack of understanding of the way God works in the lives of His children.
• We are invited to come boldly before the throne of grace and make our needs and our desires made known to God. He loves us immeasurably, and it gives Him pleasure to give good things to His children. Discern what His will is and ask Him to provide it in your life and in the lives of others!

IMPARTATION

Heavenly Father,

I am so grateful to be Your child! I believe Your Word and thank You that Your promises are Yes and Amen. Forgive me when I doubt Your goodness and Your willingness to give me the desires of my heart. Order my steps that I may ask You in faith what I desire for my life and for others.

Guide my heart to search Your Word for Your holy and precious promises. Teach me to understand Your precepts so that I may ask You in faith and glorify You when You answer.
