10/10/2017 — If we are each to pursue The One — a person in our lives who is far from God and needs to hear about Him from us — we must have the power of the Holy Ghost in our lives. The Holy Ghost emanates from us, making us irresistible to those who will be attracted to His work in our lives, and also gives us the words to say and the actions to take to love The One into the Kingdom. Be filled with the Holy Ghost today!

EDUCATION

Luke 15:1–7
“Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, 'This man receives sinners and eats with them.'

“So he told them this parable: 'What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety–nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.” Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety–nine righteous persons who need no repentance' ” (MEV).

Acts 1:6–9
“So when they had come together, they asked Him, 'Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?' “ He said to them, 'It is not for you to know the times or the dates, which the Father has fixed by His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

“When He had spoken these things, while they looked, He was taken up. And a cloud received Him from their sight” (MEV).

APPLICATION

• It is not our earthly strength, but the power of the Holy Ghost resident within us, that enables us to attempt and accomplish great things for the Kingdom.
• And God needs us to accomplish those things, because He has called us to nothing less and nothing other than a Great Awakening in this nation.
• We are enlisted in a battle for the souls of those we love. And we are called to be God's First Responders — running to the battle, not away from it.
• We are called to two types of baptism: water baptism, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. When we have done the latter, Scripture promises that rivers of living water will flow from us into the lives of others we influence.

ACTION STEPS

Pray for and ask at least ONE person this week to come to church with you this coming Sunday to a life–changing word and spend time in fellowship afterwards at our Fall Family Festival.

And continue to pray about who to invite to WHC's presentation of Master's Welcome Thursday–Sunday, Oct. 25–29.

IMPARTATION

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the presence of the Holy Ghost in my life! It fills me and empowers me to do all You have called me to do. It gives me discernment to determine who in my life most needs You and how to reach that person — The One — for You.

I cannot love others in my own strength. Show me who to share Your love with today and in the coming days, so I may be faithful to introduce them to Jesus and walk with them as they enter a relationship with You, until they are ready to disciple others as You have shown me.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ — Jehovah Joshua Messiah — I pray. Amen!
