05/16/2017 — Our mission field is all around us — they are the 80 percent of our community who will not enter a church without our invitation. We have been commissioned by God to win His harvest of souls. And because we have the commission to reap that harvest, He has also given us everything we need to be successful at reaping it!

EDUCATION

Hebrews 11:1–3
" Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the men of old obtained a good report. By faith we understand that the universe was framed by the word of God, so that things that are seen were not made out of things which are visible” (MEV).

Mark 11:22–26
"Jesus answered them, 'Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be removed and be thrown into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them. And when you stand praying, forgive if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your sins. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your sins'” (MEV).

APPLICATION

• A team of Valor Christian College students is on a missions trip this week, working at a school in a city of refugees from Haiti. The work they are doing is essential! But you are part of a mission, as well, right where you are — to add to His Kingdom.
• Whatever mission God’s put in front of you, He’s already empowered you, filled you, with the power to be victorious over anything going on in your life right now.
• For any of us to be defeated, God would have to surrender His throne. We’re on the victory side.
• We need to get our families in unity. Stop the arguing. You don’t have to be right. Just surrender it and let peace come.
• Our vision is to reach the lost in our community. God has commissioned us, individually and collectively, for that purpose. And we are guaranteed to be successful as long as we remain unified in the will to accomplish that vision!

IMPARTATION

Heavenly Father,

I am excited to be strategically placed in a body of believers committed to winning the lost in our community. Thank You for not only charging us with a commission, but also for empowering us with everything we need to accomplish it.

Order my steps to be supernaturally aware of the men, women and children in my life who need You in their lives. Work through me to position them to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so their future in Heaven with You may be assured.
