Message Description
No anointing ever leaves the earth. The spiritual genealogy of this house includes not only the anointing of Pastor Rod Parsley, but also that of Dr. Lester Sumrall, Howard Carter and Smith Wigglesworth. You have access to those anointings because of your association with World Harvest Church!
There is a price to pay to access the anointings - but Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is light! The Holy Spirit is the reason why Jesus ascended into heaven following His resurrection. He does not need to be physically present with us, because the Holy Spirit is available to live within you!
Scriptures
Genesis 2:1-14
“This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created.
"In the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, no shrub of the field was yet on the earth, and no plant of the field had yet sprouted, for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground. But a mist arose from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.
"The Lord God planted a garden in the east, in Eden, and there He placed the man whom He had formed. Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, along with the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
"A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four rivers. The name of the first is Pishon; it encompasses the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. The gold of that land is good; bdellium and the onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is Gihon; it encompasses the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Tigris; it goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates”(MEV).
Acts 2:1-13
"On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place. Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them. They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!
"Now, at that time there were Jewish worshipers who had emigrated from many different lands to live in Jerusalem. When the people of the city heard the roaring sound, crowds came running to where it was coming from, stunned over what was happening, because each one could hear the disciples speaking in his or her own language. Bewildered, they said to one another, 'Aren’t these all Galileans? So how is it that we hear them speaking in our own languages? We are northeastern Iranians, northwestern Iranians, Elamites, and those from Mesopotamia, Judea, east central Turkey, the coastal areas of the Black Sea, Asia, north central Turkey, southern Turkey, Egypt, Libyans who are neighbors of Cyrene, visitors from all over the Roman Empire, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs. Yet we hear them speaking of God’s mighty wonders in our own dialects!' They all stood there, dumbfounded and astonished, saying to one another, 'What is this phenomenon?'
"But others poked fun at them and said, 'They’re just drunk on new wine" (TPT).
Key Points
-
We’re living in a day when Pentecost has been relegated to the home Bible study, in a time when preaching about the Holy Spirit has become the exception and not the rule.
-
We need the One who condescends to indwell mortals, to fill us full of Himself.
-
Whenever evil mires the work of God, our flesh always asserts itself. When the Holy Spirit is abdicated, the flesh is wisdom If you’re not filled with the Holy Spirit, something will fill the void, and it will not be holy.
-
If all that is done, is done without the apex of all Christian endeavor - to win souls for Jesus's sake, because that is why He died - we are wasting our time and God is not in our service, because he doesn’t participate in what is born of the flesh.
-
There’s a reason the Bible says all heaven rejoices over one sinner that has been saved. It's because God has just secured another body into which dispense His Holy Spirit – a place for His Son to live.
-
Today, because of the Wuhan virus pandemic, loneliness abounds. People in hospitals and nursing homes are facing desperate times and are not permitted to see their loved ones in person.
-
But God says, "Come to Me and you will never be alone again, because I will send My Holy Spirit to live inside of you."
