SYNOPSIS
Sophia wisdom, the gift of rare insight, is essential for effective ministry. It is the ability to comprehend new ideas, to create and implement new concepts and to gain a special understanding of God’s way of doing things.
When we seek Sophia wisdom, God gives it to us, and we become capable of accomplishing seemingly insurmountable tasks. We certainly need more of this during this global pandemic! Join us in praying that God would give supernatural measures of Sophia wisdom to His people and the leaders who are coordinating our response to the Wuhan virus in our nation and around the world!
EDUCATION
James 3:13-18
“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show his works by his good life in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, do not boast and do not lie against the truth. This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, and devilish. For where there is envying and strife, there is confusion and every evil work.
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace" (MEV).
Exodus 31:1-11
Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of craftsmanship to devise artistic works for work with gold, with silver, and with bronze, and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of craftsmanship. I, indeed, I have given him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, and I have given skill to all who are specially skilled, that they may make everything that I have commanded you: the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tent, the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, the woven garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests, the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. They must make them according to all that I have commanded you" (MEV).
APPLICATION
-
Sophia wisdom allows us to comprehend new ideas, create and implement new concepts and gain a special understanding of God’s way of doing things.
-
Proverbs 8:12: “For I am Wisdom, and I am shrewd and intelligent. I have at my disposal living-understanding to devise a plan for your life” (TPT).
-
This form of wisdom is also able to open up the supernatural eyes of those who are willing, so that God can reveal to them His ultimate plan for their lives.
-
Proverbs 14:8: “For the wisdom of the wise will keep life on the right track, while the fool only deceives himself and refuses to face reality” (TPT).
-
Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go” (TPT).
-
We see an example of Sophia wisdom in Bezalel, the artisan of the tabernacle. The name Bezalel means "in the shadow [protection] of God. Today two art and design schools in Israel are named for him.
-
As a result of sophia wisdom, Bezaleel and the others began to realize much more than they actually knew. They were able to craft something that had never been seen before—the tabernacle, a portable tent that was the place where God would meet with His people during their journey through the wilderness on their way to the promised land.
-
In the same way, God through wisdom will give you rare insight to accomplish tasks, create things and devise solutions that others have said were impossible.
IMPARTATION
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your gift of wisdom! In these challenging times it is more necessary than ever that Your people operate with insight into the way You do things that they have not learned.
I ask that you give this wisdom to me and to the leaders of our congregation and community, so that in these challenging times we would do the things we should to stop the impact of this novel caronavirus that the adversary has unleashed upon the earth. Let the Church lead the way in making this virus an experience of our past so we may prosper and walk in divine health again.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ – Jehovah Joshua Messiah – I pray. Amen!
