08/12/2019 — We are living in perilous times – just ask the residents of El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, if you doubt that. But you can see your victory regardless of your circumstances! If you want to see a victory in your life, the essential prerequisites are being born again and being filled with the Holy Ghost. These two pillars form the basis of a person's trust in God.
 
People who are not born again and are not Holy Ghost-filled live with a spirit of fear, which leads to a spirit of death.
 
 
Ephesians 3:14-21
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would give you, according to the riches of His glory, power to be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
^"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen" (MEV).
 
Ezekiel 37:1-4
"The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He carried me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, and He caused me to pass among them all around. And there were very many in the open valley. And they were very dry. He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?'
"And I answered, 'O Lord God, You know.'
^"Again He said to me, 'Prophesy over these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you so that you live. And I will lay sinews upon you and will grow back flesh upon you and cover you with skin and put breath in you so that you live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord'” (MEV).
 
Psalm 61
"Hear my cry, O God,
    attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You;
    when my heart faints,
    lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a refuge for me,
    and a strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tent forever;
    I will seek refuge in the covering of Your wings. Selah
For You, O God, have heard my vows;
    You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.
May You prolong the king’s life,
    and may his years be as many generations.
May he sit enthroned before God forever;
    oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
Thus will I sing praise to Your name forever,
    that I may fulfill my vows day by day" (MEV).
 

• The most important thing you can know in times like these is that God is able. That is a matter of faith, and a matter of experience. You become more likely to believe that God is able once you've been through some things.
• If you are fearful, you are faithless. For you to survive and thrive in this moment & in this age, you must be born again and Holy Ghost filled. Everything else is a peripheral issue.
• There was a time when, in times of crisis, people ran to the Church for answers. Most recently, the Wednesday and Sunday after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, saw churches filled to capacity and beyond in most parts of America. The same was decidedly not true after the recent domestic terror attacks in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. And we don't even pause to consider the number of people murdered in major cities each weekend. We have devalued life to the point that its loss means very little to us.
• God wants His children to make decisions that are faith-based and not fear-based. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament make clear that it takes being filled with the Holy Ghost to be an effective member of the kingdom of God and of His Christ.

 
 
Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your promise to Your children – that we will see victory in our lives when we are born again through repentance from our sins and trust in Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and be becoming filled with Your Holy Spirit. I am privileged to be Your child and to be an instrument of Your love and Your power in my circles of influence.

Fill me with faith and purge me of fear, so I may be a more effective servant of the Kingdom of God. Order my steps so that I may bring the promise of redemption and eternal life to those You have called me to reach for You.
