God is so serious about your success that, though you deserve death for failing to perfectly follow His law, He sent Jesus to Calvary's cross to accept the penalty which was rightfully yours. Never before nor since has anyone demonstrated such profound love for anyone else as God did by arranging Jesus's substitutionary death for you. He is for you!
We have no reason to fear anything in this life, because God takes care of His children. Jesus, in His earthly ministry, brought the dead back to life, touched the diseased and restored their health and walked on the sea to comfort His disciples in the midst of a raging storm. He will surely care for you, no matter what the adversary of your soul may have brought against you. You can believe beyond any doubt that God is for you.
EDUCATION
Romans 8:27-39
“He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
"We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
"or those whom He foreknew, He predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.
"And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified; and those whom He justified, He also glorified.
"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
"Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
"Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes, who is risen, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
"As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.”
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come,
"neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (MEV).
APPLICATION
-
We are enmity again God. We have waged war against Him.
-
Yet God, who could have put us on the cross and let Jesus go free, did the opposite. He let us go free and sent Jesus to the cross. What additional proof do you need to conclude that He is for you?
-
The most repeated commandment in Scripture is "Fear not." It appears in the Bible more than 200 times.
-
God tells us, regardless of our circumstances, not to fear what may happen to us because He is for us!
-
We don't know what will happen to us tomorrow, or even in the next hour. Two people who were family members or closely associated with our church family were killed in tragic accidents this week and are now in eternity. They were here one minute and gone the next. Tomorrow is not promised to us. But we have the ability to assure our eternal destiny: "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9, MEV).
-
Once you learn the fundamentals found in the Bible, it's impossible to be faked out by the lies of the world.
IMPARTATION
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being for me! I confess there have been times that I wallowed in my misery, convinced the cares of the world are stronger than I am. But with You on my side, they are not, and I resolve to acknowledge that fact and give the enemy no foothold in my life again! Thank You for sending Jesus to Calvary to die for my transgressions. What further proof do I need to know beyond any doubt that You are on my side?
Cause me to walk in the knowledge that no matter what may happen, no matter what the adversary may raise against me, that I need not fear because You are with me! I claim Your precious promises found in Your Word as my confidence that my eternity is secure in You.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ – Jehovah Joshua Messiah – I pray. Amen!
