You can know when Jesus is coming back! Not the precise time or the hour – Scripture tells us that nobody knows that. But we can know when the prophecies that must be fulfilled before His promised return has been fulfilled – and, more importantly, we can live in expectation of His return at any time!
Living in expectation of Jesus' return means adopting a lifestyle of holiness. And it means actively encouraging as many people as we can to be ready for the rapture, by loving them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. As we do that, we can rejoice in the knowledge that whenever He does return for His Church, we will be taken up to heaven to spend eternity with Him!
EDUCATION
Amos 3:1-8
“Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying:
You alone have I known
of all the families of the earth;
therefore I will punish you
for all your iniquities.
Do two people walk together,
if they have not agreed?
Does a lion roar in the forest,
if it has no prey?
Does a young lion cry out from its den,
if it has not caught something?
Does a bird fall into a trap on the ground,
if there was no snare for it?
Does a trap spring up from the ground,
if it has not caught something?
If the trumpet blasts in the city,
are not the people frightened?
If there is disaster against a city,
is it not the LORD who has done it?
Surely the Lord GOD does nothing
without revealing His purpose
to His servants the prophets.
The lion has roared;
who will not fear?
The Lord GOD has spoken;
who can but prophesy?" (MEV).
Mark 13:28-37
“Now, learn the lesson from the parable of the fig tree. When spring arrives, and it sends out its tender branches and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is soon to appear. So also, when you observe all these things progressively taking place, you will know that he is coming near, even at the door! I assure you, this family will not pass away until all I have spoken comes to pass. The earth and sky will wear out and fade away before one word I speak loses its power or fails to accomplish its purpose.
“Concerning that day and exact hour, no one knows when it will arrive, not the angels of heaven, not even the Son—only the Father knows. This is why you must be waiting, watching and praying, because no one knows when that season of time will come.
“For those days can be compared to a man who was about to leave on a journey, but before leaving he placed his servants in charge and gave each one work to do while he was away. Then he commanded the watchman to be on guard at all times. So I say to you, keep awake and alert—for you have no idea when the master of the house will return; in the evening, at midnight, at four o’clock in the morning, or at dawn. Be alert, for he’s coming suddenly and may find you sleeping! And what I say to the four of you, I say to everyone–be awake at all times!'” (TPT).
APPLICATION
- If you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can rejoice because you're ready to go to heaven. If you haven't, you can rejoice because you're not in hell yet, and rectify the situation.
- The question of when Jesus is coming back is a paradox – a seeming contradiction, but not an actual contradiction. God uses a paradox to stimulate your intellect. He wants to ignite our interest. He puts things in the Bible to see if you will take the time to search them out instead of just believing whatever is spoon-fed to you on the Internet.
- We don't know the day or the hour or the season of Jesus's return, and we should ignore anyone who says he or she does know an exact time. What we can do is be ready for His return. That means living a lifestyle of holiness, so we will not be caught off guard when He does return.
- Although we can't know specifically when Jesus is coming back, but we can know that He is returning for His Church, and do what the Bible says we must do to be part of that Church.
IMPARTATION
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for making a way for me to spend eternity with You in heaven! Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to make provision for the forgiveness of my sins and for my eternal destiny.
I commit to You, though I cannot know when Jesus will return, that I will live a life of holiness so I can be ready for His return and draw others into the Kingdom as well. Order my steps so I may live a life that pleases You and leads others to You.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ – Jehovah Joshua Messiah – I pray. Amen!
