Grace for Your Mission
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
- Hebrews 4:16
The Lord has given you work to do today—exemplifying His love to the world and
sharing the news about His gift of salvation. Make sure that you give His
tasks first priority in your life.
You may feel weary because of the number of items remaining on your to-do list,
but remember God’s grace is sufficient for you.
As you look at your list, ask the Holy Spirit to show you which tasks are
God-given and which are self-inflicted. If there are some you need to cut out,
get rid of them so that you will be more effective in the tasks that deserve
higher priority.
If you need more strength to accomplish what you need to do, come before His
throne of grace and ask for His strength.
1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Ask
for grace to help you complete your mission.
For “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all
times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2
Corinthians 9:8).
Grace and strength are waiting at the foot of His throne.
