Take me to the King

On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
- Revelation 19:16

Have you ever heard the nursery rhyme about Humpty Dumpty? "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty together again."

I always want to stop in the middle of that rhyme and shout, "Wait! Why are you wasting time with the king's horses and the king's men? Why don't you just go to the King?" Many Christians waste time today taking their problems to everybody, always asking for advice from others. What should we do? We ask constantly, instead of going to our Heavenly Father, instead of going to the one who has power over it all.

Is something broken in your life? Have all your friends and therapists, doctors and counselors, failed at putting you back together again? Don't give up. Don't give up or you will end up like poor Humpty Dumpty. Bypass the middlemen and head straight for the King! Don't go to your co-workers about your boss--go to Jesus. He is King of kings, and Lord of lords! Why don't you just have a little talk with Jesus today? Turn every situation over to Him, and allow Him to begin to move in your life and put things together again.
