| | | “Our 2017 Vision — Next Steps” | | In 2017 World Harvest Church will be focused like a laser on two major priorities — loving God and loving people. That’s how we’ll advance and expand the Kingdom of God in Columbus, Ohio, and Elkhart, Ind., as we honor our Lord Jesus Christ.
EDUCATION - The Great Commission:
- Matthew 28:19—20: "’Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen" (MEV).
- The Great Commandment:
- Mark 12:30—31:“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these’” (MEV).
APPLICATION - As Pastor Parsley celebrates his 60th birthday on Friday, Jan. 13, he will be leading World Harvest Church in a new phase of ministry focused on giving, training and expanding all that God has provided up to this point.
- Fulfilling the Great Commandment — loving God and loving people — enables us to fulfill the Great Commission — making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. You have to put God and others ahead of self to accomplish this.
- At World Harvest Church we’ll accomplish the Great Commission and Great Commandment through the DreamTEAM, a dynamic group of engaged servant leaders. (If you’re not already involved in the Next Steps training for the DreamTEAM, you will have an opportunity to be a part of our next class on January 29.)
- Once you get a hold of the truth of God’s Word, and refuse to be swayed by the facts of the natural world, you open yourself to the Holy Spirit. When that happens, the Holy Spirit introduces you to the Son, who takes you to the Father, and you become a new creature in Him.
IMPARTATION
Heavenly Father,
Work through me and this house to fulfill Your Great Commandment and Great Commission!
In my own strength, I cannot win people for Your Kingdom, or even love You and the people You have called me to influence. But as Your Holy Spirit dwells in me, I can!
Make me sensitive to the leading of the Holy Ghost as I fulfill my part of Your DreamTEAM here at World Harvest Church.
